Developing people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Matthew 28:18-20
Though Immanuel Baptist Church has been around for over 100 years (est. 1907), we are experiencing a revitalization, but perhaps not the kind you might expect, one of expansion of programs, buildings, and budgets. Rather, we are experiencing the kind of rebirth that comes when a church rediscovers its core purpose for existence and returns to its foundations. We are returning to the Gospel and to sharing of the Gospel, allowing the Good News that brought us to God, shape our church and its future.
Immanuel Baptist Church joyfully embraces the focus given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ: Developing People to be Fully Devoted Followers of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). Jesus taught us there are
3 Key Relationships of a Disciple’s Life. We describe these relationships as UP, IN, & OUT!
1. UP: Worshipping God (consistently & vibrantly, both privately and publicly). Mark 1:35; Luke 4:16
2. IN: Small Groups (Jesus spent the majority of His time investing in and growing His closest followers through teaching and accountability). Luke 5:1-11; Luke 9:1-10
3. OUT: Sent to Serve and to Share with Others (Jesus had compassion for and acted toward the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of people. He then sent His followers to do the same). Luke 4:18; John 20:21
If you and/or your family are looking for a church that is focusing on what the New Testament teaches the Church would be about, you may have very well found God's place for you at Immanuel Baptist Church. I hope you'll learn more about us online, but also that you'll join us for Worship, attend a Small Group, and/or join us for one of our Outreach opportunities. May Jesus Christ be Praised!
