WHAT TO EXPECT
Immanuel is a relaxed family environment where everyone is welcome. The picture shows part of our church as we dedicated and prayed for the new baby of two of our church members. Our services aren't big or theatrical, they're just the gathering of everyday people seeking God and life in him together. We sing, we pray, we read God's word and we hear it taught. We also intentionally seek to encourage, care, and challenge one another to grow in faith. Come and see this for yourself. You are welcome here!
SERVICE INFORMATION
The best way to get started at Immanuel is to join us for our corporate worship gathering. That's the time where we all meet together to sing, pray, and hear God's Word. It's a relaxed time where you can dress how you normally dress, slip in the back or sit up front. You can bring your kids; under age 5 can go in childcare, or keep them with you in the service.

Our Staff
Dr. JASON WRIGHT
Pastor
Jason Wright began serving as our pastor in August 2024. He received a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He completed his Ph.D from Gateway Seminary in Ontario, CA in 2024. Pastor Jason has served in numerous church contexts from the Deep South to Los Angeles, CA. He is a lifelong fan of Braves baseball and Georgia football. He enjoys reading; writing, and appreciating good stories in both film and print.
He and Sarah were married in 2020; she has served in churches and as an International Mission Board Journeyman in the Philippines. She is a math professor at Southern Miss.
They both enjoy traveling, exploring, and celebrating the joys of life with friends and family. Their daughter Sophia was born in June 2025.

RYLAN FAST
Student Minister
Rylan Fast began serving at IBC in February 2025. He recently completed a degree in communications from Southern Miss. He has served with the IMB and Baptist Student Union summer missions along with the college ministry at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. He and Mollie were married on New Year's Eve, 2024; she is a nursing student at Southern Miss. They both feel called to vocational ministry and international missions.

CONNOR BOGGAN
Interim Worship Minister
Connor Boggan began serving at Immanuel Baptist Church in June 2025. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Finance and served at Southern Miss for two years as a field staff with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru). He now works at Regions Bank. Connor and his wife, Reagan, were married in 2025. Reagan works as a patient account representative at Hattiesburg Clinic. Connor enjoys gardening, spending time outside, and going to flea markets.

Director of Outreach and Recovery Ministries
"I am a lifelong resident of Hattiesburg, MS, and by nature, a friendly and simple person. My insecurities and experiences from childhood and adolescence fueled my early-in-life and present passion for helping people experience transformation, significance, and purpose. Once I began my recovery in 2012, my enthusiasm intensified and expanded to helping others in their recovery journeys. Over my lifetime, I have had the privilege of serving others as a student pastor, associate and recovery pastor, pastor, volunteer speaker at the Homes of Grace Addiction Recovery Program, probation officer within the juvenile justice system, and guest speaker at various venues. I enjoy working out, eating ice cream, hanging out at coffee shops, and being with others."
