God gives us the opportunity to join with him in his mission in prayer, in service, and in giving our resources. All we have is given to us by God and a portion of it is returned to him as a tithe. A tithe is the thankful return of blessings to God. It is the relinquishing of control and trusting God to use those resources for His Kingdom. Our church takes these truths seriously and maintains the highest level of accountability and stewardship of God's resources.
Immanuel Baptist Church Hattiesburg is a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Organization. All your gifts go directly to the church’s ministry and are never used for any purpose outside the approved budget.
Online gifts include a small processing fee. If you are able, please include payment of the fees in your gift. You also have the option of donating by check or cash.
IBC is constantly working in partnership with other churches and ministries in Hattiesburg and around the world. We partner with local ministries like our Lamar County clothes closet and food pantry. And we work to serve our community through events and intentional ministry wherever there is a need.
We support ministry efforts nationally and globally in partnership with the North American and International Mission Boards of the Southern Baptist Convention. Your gifts equip our church to serve beyond its walls and to the ends of the earth.
The Together Campaign is a declaration of who we are. Immanuel: God with Us. God “Together” with Us. We believe he is near to us; he is at work. And our church in its togetherness is committed to achieving this goal, to prepare us for the next season of the church’s ministry.
IBC is currently raising $50,000 for facility improvements and updates. Though the total need is $94,000, the church budget and savings pay for the rest. These facility updates are not for their own sake, they allow us to focus on our core mission of proclaiming God’s love to our city.
The work includes a new roof and parking lot repairs, along with electrical system improvements and childcare facility updates.
The best way to get started at Immanuel is to join us for our corporate worship gathering. That's the time where we all meet together to sing, pray, and hear God's Word. It's a relaxed time where you can dress how you normally dress, slip in the back or sit up front. You can bring your kids; under age 5 can go in childcare, or keep them with you in the service.
